The wetland areas houses various birds like flamingoes, and ducks. Other animals like hippos, warthogs, crocodiles, and waterbucks are found in the wetlands.

The dry season, from Jun-Nov, is generally considered the best time to visit Zambia. Walking safari bush camps in and around South Luangwa are open for six months per year during this time.

The best time to visit South Africa is between May and October which bring perfect weather conditions for wildlife viewing. From November to February, expect some rain and plenty of opportunities for birding. The best time to visit South Africa for surfing is March to September.

The best time to visit Botswana is during the dry season, which falls between May and October. Temperatures range between 75°F and 95°F, so you’ll enjoy warm, sunny days — just remember the nights can get much cooler, so pack accordingly.

Courses or boosters usually advised: Hepatitis A; Tetanus. Other vaccines to consider: Hepatitis B; Rabies; Typhoid. Selectively advised vaccines – only for those individuals at highest risk: none.
 

The best time to visit Tanzania is from July to October when the country is at its driest. This coincides with the migration river crossings, however, all the parks offer amazing wildlife sightings at this time as the grasses and bush are at their least dense.
